Hour Building
After obtaining your Private Pilot's Licence (PPL), should you wish to continue your training and gain more advanced licences you will normally need to build up your hours.
Flight Academy Blackpool offers three SEP and two MEP aircraft types for hour building and a range of packages to suit your needs and budget. To qualify for our hour building packages you must be a member of our sister company Aircraft Grouping Limited (AGL). Pricing is detailed below.
SEP Hour Building PackagesThese packages include:
- 6 months membership of AGL giving you cost price access to our SEP aircraft.
- 100 Hours in the aircraft type of your choice which can be booked as required

Additional months membership (beyond 6 months) is chargeable at the following rates:
- Aquila A210 £110pcm

- Cirrus SR20 £130pcm
These packages include:
- 50 Hours in the aircraft type of your choice which can be booked as required
Our equity groups work differently to the no equity groups which we operate:
- To gain access to the Seneca only group an initial deposit of £6,000 is required
- To gain access to the Twinstar group an initial deposit of £12,000 is required
- Twinstar membership also includes the use of the Seneca
- Your deposit is refundable when you leave the group (6 months notice)
