September 2010 - Arrival Of Our New Aquila A210 Aircraft
Flight Academy Blackpool and Aircraft Grouping are pleased to announce the arrival of our brand new Aquila A210 aircraft.
In conjunction with our sister company Aircraft Grouping, we have purchased two brand new Aquila A210s to replace our ageing Cessna 152s in order to modernise our fleet and continue to move with the times!
The aircraft are both identical and are equipped with full Aspen glass cockpit, Garmin mode S transponder and many other features.
We are holding an open day and launch party at our Blackpool facility on Saturday 11th September 2010 during which demo flights will be offered and a full evening party is also to be held. Anyone wishing to attend should contact Joanna Ward or George McGuire on 01253 341010 who will be pleased to reserve places for you and any guests during this event.
August 2010 - New PPL And NPPL Groundschool Courses Offered
We now offer a full syllabus of groundschool courses to compliment the PPL and NPPL flight training programme. The courses are conducted at Flight Academy Barton in our well equipped briefing facilities every Sunday and are organised on a constantly rolling basis covering the following subjects:
- Aviation Law & Procedures
- Meteorology
- Human Performance
- Navigation
- Flight Planning
- Technical
Each course costs just £99 per person and includes the cost of your written examination for the subject in question. Students from other schools or interested non pilots may also attend our courses.
